Supported files and limits

Files must be 20 MB or smaller. Images are limited to 4096 pixels per side and 16 million pixels. Multi-page PDF and TIFF files are limited to 20 pages and 40 million pixels combined. Corrupt or unsupported input is rejected with an error.

A .jfif file contains JPEG image data. Its actual file header is checked before conversion.

JPG output is a compressed still image. Transparent areas become white.
